Based on his personal experience and research from his doctoral dissertation on music performance anxiety at the University of Toronto, Dr. Daniel Ramjattan will offer a presentation that uses scientific strategies to help us manage our emotions on stage and move through our nervousness to realize our potential on stage. He will draw on treatments and strategies from psychology and guitar pedagogy. Since nearly all musicians experience stage fright throughout their lives, this presentation will be relevant to guitarists and musicians of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. Teachers will especially find this relevant.
As part of Guitar Week, the SGM has the privilege of welcoming Alexandre Ethier and Gabriel Boulabger-Samson for a round table that will focus on the health of the musician.
