Guitar orchestra

The Société de guitare de Montréal Orchestra is an amateur, multi-generational group of guitarists with various technical skills, under the leadership of conductor Luc Lévesque. Members must have at least minimal experience of the instrument, be able to decipher single-note scores and be regular members of the Société. Registration fees for the year are $150. The orchestra rehearses every other week in the premises of the Music Department of UQAM and offers several performances a year, including the creation of original works. Furthermore, as a study group, it helps with education workshops for music teachers and collaborates on various research projects along with the Music Department.
