Enjoy the loan of a James White concert guitar!

A magnificent James White cedar top guitar (64 cm) will be offered on loan to a Montréal-area student member of the Société de guitare de Montréal. The loan would be for a one- or two-year term, upon proof of insurance coverage. This generous loan is made possible thanks to Isabelle Peretz, a passionate music lover who hopes to support a young musician in pursuing her or his guitar studies.

Selection criteria

• Be a member of the Société de guitare
• Show a high level of interest and passion for the instrument
• Be enrolled in a CEGEP, university, or conservatory in the Montréal region, or studyng with a private teaher and preparing an application to such an institution.

An application must consist of:

• A letter from the candidate presenting herself or himself and her or his motivation, and describing the candidate’s experience with the instrument, ambition, repertoire played and listened to, and general interests
• A letter of recommendation from a teacher
• Any other documents deemed relevant.
